Do you paint in oils or acrylics?
Can you recommend what size painting I should get?
A good rule of thumb is that dogs should be painted at about life-size. Of course, I can do them larger or smaller, depending on your tastes and budget.
Can you include more than one animal or my pet's favorite toy in my painting or drawing?
Yes but additional fees will apply. See "Rates" for details.
Do you do portraits of animals other than dogs?
Absolutely! I will paint your cat, bird, horse, etc.
Can you include me or my child in the portrait?
I do not paint people. I may be able to include them in a pencil portrait, but additional fees will apply.
How long will it take you to do the portrait?
It all depends on how much work I have at the time. Contact me for details.
How do I get my finished portrait?
Once you approve the final digital image and I receive the payment, I can deliver it to you (in the Houston area) or ship it to you. See "Rates" link for details.
If I give you my original photos from which to create the portrait, will they be returned unharmed?
Of course. I never work from your originals. I scan them and make my own prints, keeping your originals safe until I can return them (usually when I give you your portrait).
Will you ship to locations outside the United States.
What if my shipped portrait arrives damaged?
I take care in packing portraits to prevent this from happening but, if it does, this is why I require insurance on all shipments. I will need you to send me photographs of the damaged portrait, then I can create another portrait for you at no extra charge.
What if I need to cancel my order?
You may cancel your order at any time but, if you have already paid the 50% deposit, remember that it is non-refundable.
